It was a huge day for the Team Euphoria women at the Cleveland Triathlon in downtown Cleveland. Perfect weather and flat water conditions allowed Shannon Staab and Val Fecko to finish first and second respectively in their age groups for the Women’s Olympic Distance. This was Patty King’s first tri (at 65 years young) bringing home first place in her age group. Beth Bueter finished 3rd place in her age group; her first triathlon in the Sprint distance.

Mary Riley started off the Team Benjamin relay with a solid swim. Matt Cox followed up with a strong bike and run securing a first place finish in the Relay for Team Benjamin. Matt’s son Ben walked his Dad across the finish this year – a moment that both Matt and Ben worked so hard for. Team Benjamin raised over $34,000 for United Cerebral Palsy, and the Cleveland Triathlon raised over $175,000 for the organization.
