May 29th Brick (Biathlon Simulation)

The team has just over 2 weeks until 8th Annual Willoughby Lions Biathlon hosted by NCN racing. For our second-to-last workout before the race, Coach Kyle set up a biathlon simulation that started with a 5k run out the door of Euphoria Health and Fitness down the hill into the Rocky River Reservation and back to the gym. After a quick transition in the parking lot of the gym, and we set out again for the park for a 13 mile ride with some hill work. From the gym, we went down into the parkway to Brookway Drive, turned around at the top of Brookway and returned to the gym. Riding the course twice gave us about 13 total miles on the bike in addition to the hills on Brookway and Mastick (4 climbs total).
Great weather and perfect temperatures gave the team a fast 1.5 hr workout.
